I like this shot because of the symmetry and the serious expression and also the old-fashioned interior decor which doesn't quite fit with the sitter. It's an out-take from a Daily Mail shoot of Anna Tilley who had a nasty illness called sepsis and it was shot in her grandmother's lounge in Crawley.
A few shots from Sunday's very english event at Mayfield School. Old students and their families were invited to a church service, champagne reception and afternoon tea with birthday cake for the 80th birthdays of their incumbent nuns, Sr Jean Sinclair and Sr Maria Dinnendahl.
I was really pleased with this shot from Sunday's confirmation ceremony at Mayfield School. I find symmetry in composition satisfying and when it combines with movement and religious symbolism thats lots of boxes ticked for me.
Photography is the home of happy accidents (and unhappy ones). This is one I liked from this week when the flash failed to illuminate these business dudes. See how it should have looked on my new corporate page.
I had a great day with the staff and pupils of East Farleigh Primary School capturing the energy of the place for their new prospectus.
Great to see a couple of my pics from last year's Nicaragua trip being used by Compassion International to publicise Compassion Sunday which, in recent years, has helped over 200 thousand children around the world.
A few of the 150 feline residents at the Kit Wilson Trust animal sanctuary. Some are looking for new homes but many are quite happy where they are.
A few shots from my daughter's "best ever" birthday present, being a zoo keeper for the day at Drusillas Zoo.
My first 2 rescue dog portraits for The Kit Wilson Trust. Bodie above, who was very well behaved, is of indeterminate age and breed, but she is thought to be 9 to 10 years old and of mainly rottweiler and staffy stock. Tidgi below, also very good natured, is a 5 year old staffy previously owned by an abusive heroin addict who never gave her exercise.
A triptych using my cheap but temperamental live-in model, I've been trying out some ideas for my new sideline in dog portraits. The dog studio is now all set-up so give me a shout if you would like anything along these lines.
