Symmetrical Sofa Lady

I like this shot because of the symmetry and the serious expression and also the old-fashioned interior decor which doesn't quite fit with the sitter. It's an out-take from a Daily Mail shoot of Anna Tilley who had a nasty illness called sepsis and it was shot in her grandmother's lounge in Crawley.

Divine Symmetry

I was really pleased with this shot from Sunday's confirmation ceremony at Mayfield School. I find symmetry in composition  satisfying and when it combines with movement and religious symbolism thats lots of boxes ticked for me.

Rescue Dogs

My first 2 rescue dog portraits for The Kit Wilson Trust. Bodie above, who was very well behaved, is of indeterminate age and breed, but she is thought to be 9 to 10 years old and of mainly rottweiler and staffy stock. Tidgi below, also very good natured, is a 5 year old staffy previously owned by an abusive heroin addict who never gave her exercise.

Live Crib

A few shots from last week's Live Crib, a nativity put on by the girls of St Leonards-Mayfield School featuring a real donkey and baby and a procession through the village of Mayfield.

Compassion In Nicaragua

Some children at the Compassion Project in Tipitapa, a very poor neighbourhood in Managua, Nicaragua where I recently visited, taking pictures for the american child sponsorship charity, Compassion. This place is a vital refuge from extreme poverty for these young people. They go once or twice a week, they play and learn and are given a hot meal.
