My picture of composer Brett Dean and opera singer Allan Clayton at Glyndebourne in today's Times.
One Man And His Hearing Dog
Nick Maes, travel writer with his hearing dog, a springer spaniel called Yorrick. Nick is deaf and Yorrick as well as being a great companion, alerts him to important sounds like the doorbell, telephone, smoke alarm etc. Yorrick is trained and provided by the charity Hearing Dogs For Deaf People. Shot for The Daily Mail.
Friends Reunited
An afternoon of nostalgia and re-aquainting with old friends for Mayfield School's class of 1987.
Year's 1, 3 and 5 of William Patten Primary School in Stoke Newington enjoying a drama workshop from The Freshwater Theatre Company. I shot this for their new brochure.
A favourite picture from a few years ago of my children playing with some friends. Finding this has given me some much needed inspiration to take more pictures of my family.
The Van Man
This is a little shoot I did for Buzzfeed of Jonny Bush, an architecture student at Kent University in Canterbury, who saves money by living on campus in his van which he converted to have a cosy wood burner and run off eco-fuel.
Portfolio appraisal time in the fashion department at West Kent and Ashford College. Part of a marketing shoot I did for them. Reminds me I need to have a look at mine.
Hedgeblog
A baby hedgehog from The East Sussex Wildlife Rescue and Ambulance Service. They have been in the news this week because wildlife rescue centres are struggling to cope with the number of undernourished hedgehogs being brought to them, as winter sets in. At this time of year, a normal hedgehog should weigh around 500g, but some wildlife centres in England are taking in hogs weighing just 100g. Experts believe that the milder weather has led to later births, and these hedgehogs are too young and small to be able to survive winter hibernation.
Lovely wine expert lady, Jilly Goolden for The Daily Mail this week. A real pro in front of the camera and worth a contact sheet style pic I thought.
Coastal Culture At The De La Warr
A few shots from a really enjoyable little shoot working with the good people at The De La Warr Pavilion getting some publicity images for their new website. The DLWP is the fantastic arts hub, gallery and music venue in my new home town of Bexhill-On-Sea.
The Lonely Clown
I just stumbled across this rather poignant little film about Tom "Tom Fun" Morgan the clown I photographed for my Diabetes UK portrait project a few years ago. Having enjoyed meeting and taking his photograph I'm still not a clown fan, although the sad clown persona does really resonate somewhere.
My pic of Detective Steve Fulcher in today's Guardian. An interesting story well worth a read.
